Allison's Book Bag

National Novel Writing Month

Posted on: November 1, 2012

Have any of you heard of National Novel Writing Month? Basically, participants set a goal to write 52,000 words in November. That translates to about 1600 words per day. By the end of the month, one should have the first draft of a novel.

This year I will participate. To help me out, my husband will write weekly guest reviews for Allison’s Book Bag and take on all extra chores. The way you can help me out is by reading my husband’s reviews, following my progress, and posting comments. :-)

If you check out the right hand column, you’ll see a widget titled “Track My Progress in National Writing Month”. On a daily basis, it’ll show how many words I have written.

Talk with you all again in December!

Congratulations, Allison, on how well you’re doing in National Novel Writing Month!

Thanks! I’m closing in on 25,000 words or the halfway mark. Can hardly believe it. :-)

Good luck! I’ve considered doing NaNoWriMo a few times, but November is always my BUSIEST month. It’s so nice of your husband to write for the blog in your place!

What about Camp NaNoWriMo? It happens in June.

No way! I’ve never heard of that but I will definitely look into it. Thanks for the tip!
