Six-Word Saturday Meme #2

SixWordSaturday

Time for me; time for family

I love my Saturday mornings. My husband stays up late Friday night and so then sleeps in, meaning I have the mornings to myself. Not that I spend them just on me. Saturday mornings, my brother and I connect to an online site, so that we can play games together despite being 2000 miles apart. I also use my Saturdays morning to write to my dad, create a scrapbook for my sister, and talk with the family by phone. It’s just nice having all that quiet time to spend on family.

My Saturday evenings are also perfect. That’s when my husband and I normally visit his parents. We eat a home-cooked meal, play card games, and catch up on the week’s news. This Saturday is different, which is why I’m noting it. My husband will be watching football playoffs, but I am still going over for a visit. My mother-in-law and I are going to talk about finding time to hang out once a month, just her and I, for mom and daughter time. I’m looking forward to it!

When I return, that’s when the ME time will happen. I’ll read a writing magazine, listen to a review book, etc.

What about you? What six words describe your Saturday this week?

I like that you enjoy spending time with your MIL 🙂 Sounds like you have a great Saturday planned; always good too to have some time just for yourself!

Family is important. 🙂

You are blessed to have a good relationship with your Mother-in-law! That’s how it should be! (:>) Glad you had a pleasant Saturday!

Yes, I’m fortunate to have wonderful in-laws. My father-in-law is always willing to advise on plant care, repair broken stuff, etc. It’s great!

Balance is everything!

I like your three cats. Thanks for the visit!

My Saturday in six words:
computer, dogs, Scrabble, groceries, television, telephone

An explanation:
In my early morning time I tried Create a Calendar on my computer.
Before breakfast I took our two dogs on their morning walk.
After breakfast Leonora and I finished the game of computer Scrabble we’d been playing when we lost electricity on Friday morning. We played another game after supper.
For most of the rest of the morning Leonora and I did our weekly shopping. We usually do it on Friday while Robert and Shekinah are having their piano lesson, but this Friday the grocery stores hadn’t opened yet because of the power outage.
For most of the afternoon Robert, Shekinah, and I watched movies on television. Leonora was at work.
In the evening we received phone calls from you (Allison) and, to see if we had electricity, from Aunt Ruth. It was nice talking with each.

A full and interesting day! If I were to summarize your Saturday in one word, it would be family. 🙂

Other than our one snowfall that closed schools just before Christmas break, we have yet to get any snow here. Rain recently melted away the snow we did have, but unfortunately didn’t take away the cold. 😦

Sounds like a great Saturday! Enjoy!

Have a good Saturday too! Thanks for dropping by.

Sounds like a good day, Allison. I started early with 6WS, then off to zumba, a few shopping essentials, cooking, and finally laptop time. It feels like home.

That sounds like my Friday evening. 🙂

Time with family and for self sounds like a perfect way to spend a Saturday!

Saturday is often the highlight of my week.
