Happy New Year!

Posted on: January 1, 2014

The concert hall at the Sydney Opera House holds 2,700 people. This blog was viewed about 16,000 times in 2013. If it were a concert at Sydney Opera House, it would take about 6 sold-out performances for that many people to see it.

In 2013, there were 349 new posts, growing the total archive of this blog to 701 posts. There were 327 pictures uploaded, taking up a total of 50 MB. That’s about 6 pictures per week.

The busiest day of the year was December 2nd with 131 views. The most popular post that day was Interview with Jennifer Brown.

Click here to see the complete report.

In the future, you’ll also find it in the right hand corner under Personal News.

Thanks for your support in 2013! Over the next twelve months, you can look forward to daily posts except on Sundays. Those posts will range from book reviews and author interviews, to news and views posts, to snapshots and other meme posts. You can also expect a nifty new “Inspired By….” feature.

Happy New Year!

Those are really great blog stats when you put them in perspective like that! 🙂

WordPress always puts a creative spin on stats. I enjoy receiving their annual write-ups. 🙂

Summer Reviews

Books can take connect us with strangers, take us to unique places, and introduce us to new ideas. They can also offer hope in a chaotic world. And so I must share what I read!

Each week, I’ll introduce you to religious books, Advanced Reader Copies, animal books, or diversity books. Some I’ll review as singles and others as part of round-ups. Just ahead, there will be reviews of:

  • Joni: The unforgettable story of a young woman’s struggle against quadriplegia & depression by Joni Eareckson
  • The True Story of the World’s Most Beloved Animal Sanctuary by Samantha Glen
  • Brothers in hope : the story of the Lost Boys of Sudan–refugees by Mary Williams
  • The Inner Life of Cats by Thomas McNamee
