Critter Photo #1

Posted on: November 9, 2015

AwwwMondays-Puppy-AvatarWith our household of critters having expanded to include three cats and a dog, I thought it fitting to join a meme related to pets. After searching around, I came across Awww….. Mondays. The one rule is: “Post a picture that makes you say Awww…. and that’s it.” Every photo seemed to feature a pet and so the meme is a perfect fit!

For my first three posts, I’m going to introduce you to our cats in order of arrival. First up is Cinder! From the moment we met her at the shelter, Cinder liked to explore. When we finally brought her home, Cinder rejected the idea that a new cat should get kept in contained room to allow time to settle into a new environment. Cinder instead wanted to explore the rest of our house. In this photo, she’s discovered by plush dragons on top of my bookcase shaped like a dollhouse. I’ll leave caption ideas to visitors!

what a lovely cat and the dragon is lovely too!

I have an affection for both. 😉

A real cutie! Isn’t it fun having furry friends living in your home. I have a giant size one sleeping here next to me. We can not tell dad. He doesn’t like when the big guy hops up here. But he is snoring so quietly I can not bear to wake him up. Hee Hee…..have a great week.

My favorite moments are when the cats are all lined up waiting for food, crowded together with me on the recliner, or looking out the window from a tower ledge. Yes, furry friends are a blessing!

Awww, you see Cinder did know where she wanted to be and what she wanted to do. Looks like it worked out just fine.

Have a purrfect Awww Monday. ☺

Cinder likes to check out each high place in our house at least once. She’s also been on the top of our cabinet, fridge, and plant shelves. She’s a jumper!

Summer Reviews

Books can take connect us with strangers, take us to unique places, and introduce us to new ideas. They can also offer hope in a chaotic world. And so I must share what I read!

Each week, I’ll introduce you to religious books, Advanced Reader Copies, animal books, or diversity books. Some I’ll review as singles and others as part of round-ups. Just ahead, there will be reviews of:
