Critter Photo #2

Posted on: November 16, 2015

AwwwMondays-Puppy-AvatarWith our household of critters having expanded to include three cats and a dog, I thought it fitting to join a meme related to pets. After searching around, I came across Awww….. Mondays. The one rule is: “Post a picture that makes you say Awww…. and that’s it.” Every photo seemed to feature a pet and so the meme is a perfect fit!

For my first three posts, I’m going to introduce you to our cats in order of arrival. Second up is Bootsie! From the moment I met her as a feral in a Trap-Neuter-Release (TNR) colony, she stole my heart. What photo of her to pick for this meme proved tough. There is one of her outside when she allowed herself for a brief moment to play. When my husband saw that photo, he agreed for me to pick her home. There is also one of her feeling content in our office chair. It’s the first photo I posted to update local colony feeders of her progress. For this meme, I ended up picking the below photo. This photo won our beautiful Bootsie second prize in a TNR contest.

this is one beautiful and content cat!

Indoor life does seem to suit Bootsie. 😉

Aw….kind hearted people you and the hubby are! My friend traps feral cats humanly and she and her vet have some sort of agreement. He neuters and spays them and sometime they go to homes. It is funny when she catches other critters like racoons who are quite unhappy until she releases them back to the wild! Bootsie is a beautiful. My sister has a cat, Bumby. he is striped and reminds her of a bumble bee (hee hee). He is such an alley cat. He tore her entire curtain off the wall just as she was getting ready to go to bed a few nights ago. She said he just does not lose his outdoor instincts! Likes the trash can too so she has to move it into a closed area. He is very beautiful but still quite wary of people. Loved your story here. Thanks for sharing. Hugs, Anne

Thank you for sharing so many of your experiences! Our local TNR group has a discount at our cat hospital. It’s wonderful when organizations work together to support animals.

Bootsie is a pretty gentle cat, but she too can be wary. Sudden movements, jackets and objects that flap, vacuums and storms, all send her into a dark hiding spot.

Awww, what a beautiful cat. So regal.

Have a purrfect Awww Monday little one. 🙂

We recently bought a second cat tower to encourage Bootsie to come into the bedroom. She’s started to check it out! This fall has been good for our beautiful Bootsie. 🙂
